So a little background on me, I'm 24 years old, and a firefighter in Ohio. I'm 5'11" and around 170lbs. I have a very athletic build (more of the "swimmers" body, very low body fat) I don't think I'm very attractive personally, but I've always been told by girls that I have gorgeous eyes and I'm handsome. I got married to my highschool sweetheart very young, and she left me this spring for a guy she had met less than a week earlier. (Long story). So I have NO experience making cold approaches or stuff like that. I work a TON (100+ hrs a week) so I really don't have time to go out too much. So, onto my question. I really don't have issues getting girls, I mainly use tinder and have several that I see pretty regularly. They all know i don't want anything serious right now, so we have a mutual agreement. I don't do lying and pretending in order to get sex. The thing is, none of these girls that I see would I consider in my "league". And I'm pretty sure it's because I'm exclusively using tinder. I'm not very photogenic, and I'm more of an old fashioned "in person" kind of guy. I'm great at talking to women, but not until I know they're interested, like a tinder date. I know they're interested already before I really meet them in person. So I want to go out and try to "day game" my issue with that is, if I go to a mall, how do I know these good looking girls aren't like 17 years old? I'm not sure how common it is to run into this issue, but it worries me. I don't wanna be that creepy guy hitting on underage girls, especially since I have a such a high profile job. Also, I don't feel comfortable Getting numbers or hitting on girls while I'm in uniform or on shift (checkout girls at the local grocery store, ER staff, ect.) In my opinion that's very unprofessional. Am I missing out by not doing that?

Tldr: no experience picking up women, lots of experience after the initial approach, (dating, relationships, ect.)
