I went to a party a few weeks ago and this girl and I hit it off very quickly with our shared interests. After purchasing her a couple drinks throughout the night, dancing and talking intermittently I asked her later in the night if she would like to walk around and continue our conversation and/or go for coffee the following weekend. She agreed, and and I made a few advances that were subtle like touching her shoulder lightly to get her attention with the music blaring etc to make my intentions known. This guy who was flirting with one girl after the other made his way towards her and they very quickly were getting into a rather intense conversation with him initiating heavy eye contact.

After they finished chatting she remarked to me "I don't know what it is but that guy is so hot" and I replied "Oh really? Cool". I spent the next 45 minutes or so chatting to others before deciding to leave around midnight having been there 5 hours. I let her know semi abruptly that I was heading out and that it was nice meeting her - She responded with a semi desperate/concerned look saying "You too! We should really go for that coffee soon!". Ever since that night she's been occasionally messaging me and insisting on going for coffee but to be honest I get the sense she either felt bad and is pursuing me out of pitty or has relegated me as a friend which I'm not that interested in...

What do you guys think? Was it a test? A mistake? I don't really feel pursuing this is worth it if she's willing to play games.
