I've had a couple small chit chats with a women in the apartment building next to mine. They were short because of either I was late to work or bad weather, crazy storms as of late. I went to the closet UPS store to send a friend a book he lent me, completely unaware she works there. Low and behold she's at work. Mentioned a downed tree from a recent storm that blocked off a hidden path, often where and how our short talks originated around. Mostly business talk like name, who and where the book was going, necessary info to send the package but with some playful banter mixed in. As I was leaving I said "I hope we run into each more often" and she agreed. Even if it goes nowhere at least our mutual interest was established. A small step forward especially since my ability to show interest isn't that good.
