So when I'm out with a wingman/friend who points out sets for me to approach, I find that I can tend to overcome the approach anxiety that I experience. So I end up approaching, which is good! We have this system that we use sometimes where we point out sets for each other to approach. "Go approach that girl!"

However, when I'm alone or when we're together but not actively telling each other to approach I experience MUCH higher AA. I'm not in as much of a fun messing around mindset. This is to the point where I may only approach one set in a few hours, and only after struggling for like 5 minutes on a girl that doesn't leave the area. I can't seem to figure out how to make myself approach without someone else suggesting/telling me to approach someone. I'm scared approaching ANYONE when I'm sarging alone. Anyone else have this issue?

Side Note: For those with AA, there was one girl that I was deathly afraid of approaching, but managed to do so in the end. I was able to approach after my wingman /u/TheMightyImprov (Shout out!) broke the approach down into small steps for me. He told me "Turn around. Get your phone out. (I was just going to go up to her and gesture for a phone number) Take a step towards her. Smile." I would not have approached if he didn't do this.

This strategy didn't seem to work for me when I was alone though :/ I couldn't do the "Take a step towards her" part.
