That sentence was actually painful to type and I am still debating keeping it, but I think it illustrates the point quite well.

If you would like to woo a women or go anywhere in the business/professional world, you need to learn to develop your grammar. It helps you convey your ideas more properly and shows that you took the time to review and carefully consider what you are saying. It puts more value on the words themselves.

Keep in mind though, this does NOT mean that you should talk like the people over in /r/iamverysmart. That is overdoing it. Use normal words. Use them correctly. Spell them correctly.

As a quick little bonus tip, try to avoid a lot of "unimportant" sentence modifiers, such as "I think, lol, haha, ?!?!, !!!". As an example,

  1. "I think we should grab a bottle of wine for this weekend and get really drunk and see where the night takes us. haha."

  2. "I think we should grab a bottle of wine for this weekend and get really drunk and see where the night takes us."

  3. "We should grab a bottle of wine for this weekend and get really drunk and see where the night takes us"

  4. "Let's grab a bottle of wine this weekend and see where the night takes us"

Although I admit this sentence itself is not the best pickup line, it functioned well as an example of things you should tend to avoid in conversation. Removing a lot of the extra stuff, especially the "lol's/haha's" will show that you are confident in what you are saying.

Combine this method with proper grammar and sentence structure and it will really help improve your game.
