Online dating to supplement your life, not run it. In-person will always be LEAGUES better than online, but sometimes you can get a decent bite just from checking your Tinder once every now and again. In fact, some of the best dates I've ever had have been with Tinder girls, you just gotta weed through it a bit to find the good matches. A lot of really good catches who are just introverted use online dating. Do both online and real-life.

Excuse me? This isn't the common sense dating advice. If you've been following it, that's been your mistake.

What you've probably encountered is an online circle-jerk or two led by people who are trying to use online dating apps as a crutch for actually working on their social skills. Those pop-up from time to time, and when they do, people tend to call in brigades or bots to prop up their opinions, like the "advice" you're referring to.

Online dating sites are AT BEST, supplementary. They should never be a primary source of social activity because they aren't based on actually socializing.

Looks matter but the fun guy making people laugh and smiling having a good time and giving off positive energy will always be near the top of the attraction chain.

It’s hard to convey that extra attraction through a handful of pictures and text. In person there’s a lot more variables you can use to your advantage.

Online game is bunk. IMHO, bumble is better then tinder but, online in general is wack. Unless you are a CHAD, its pretty weak, women are entitled as fuck, flaky, and are trashing their best years chasing the guy who wont give the ring. They are caked up, using photoshop, and positing pics that are so altered, its not nearly even remotely related. You cannot get catfished in cold approach and she cannot fake not being fat or her crows feet.

IMHO, cold approach pickup EVERYWHERE, as in spamming pickup as in, lots of approaching IRL > online. I am not saying, do not do it. I am saying, do not let it excuse you from actually approaching.

This is why I don't take online dating seriously anymore. I have a lot more luck and success long term when I meet women offline because I don't have to hide my personality as much. I started doing that online too and it works really well.

Online dating is great to just bullshit but the thing with it is that no one you meet online wants to commit due to so many options.
