[Against my better judgment, x-post from 2XC (link within)] Interesting look at women's perspective on confidence/arrogance

I feel like this is useful for men who have their masculine identities and know how to relate to women as men. One should always be exercising their best judgement and common sense and know to not be an asshole. But, IMO this 2XC thread might hurt newbies who are just learning their way.

I think that's where it comes off--the smart and successful part but no...one way I can offer how arrogant or just plain asshole he is is that he basically cussed at me when I told him that I had to cancel our plans one day because I secured an apt. last minute and had to get moving. He sends me the most scumbag text ever: "How about this fucking idea? Why don't you tell me when YOU're free. Don't always assume I'm available." I couldn't believe it. I had never been really talked to like that by any guy, let alone any good friends. Ridiculous.

They both sound insecure to me.
