The problem with dating 20 year old girls is that you need to talk to a 20 year old girl. I’m 38 and about 27 is the lowest age I can stand to talk to.

There is no doubt that some girls are much more attracted to older guys that’s why you should take it as your advantage and if you see she likes it then use it as much as u can.

I find nothing inherently bad about such an age gap.

However,

Unless she's mature for her age, and/or you're immature for your age, it's highly unlikely that you'll have anything to talk about after a couple of weeks. Relationships like this tend to fall into a serious rut. If you want a prime trophy, by all means, go get'em. If you want someone that will complement your life, searching among your own age group is more prudent.

I would put a limit at the age of 21. There is no way you can have a fun relationship if they can't legally drink with you, and at your age it's a very bad idea to give alcohol to minors.

FYI.
Recently, a HB10 waitress started at a place I eat at.
I flirted with her immediately and asked some leading questions, which gave me the impression she was under 18.
(I take women for drinks/dinner on dates and I can't if they're under 18). She asked what I do and I told her I'm retired. She was surprised and said something indicating she thinks I am much, much older than I actually am.
Despite that, on a more recent visit [btw, I can tell she is really into me], unprompted, she told me exactly when she was turning 18.
I understand women enough now to know that meant "You can take me out on a date [once I'm 18]".
So I asked her out.

TL;DR - HB10 was under 18 when we met and assumed my age was more than double hers, told me when she would turn 18 so I could ask her out.

I've only ever dated ONE woman older than me.

The older I get, the SAME the age of the women I am most (physically) attracted to remains: under 25. Two reasons, one is purely aesthetic. The second is logistical. If I ever settle down with a woman and start a family, I will want to know her for at least 5 years before having kids so if she's 25 when we meet, she'd be 30+ before the first child and that's close the biologicial limit for childbirth without major challenges.

IMO, it's all about their level of maturity (emotional and intellectual) and this evolves differently for different women.
An 18 year old I picked up recently was one of the most mature women I have ever met. A 27 year old I picked up recently was one of the least mature (huge turn off).

Intelligence and matury are what I seek, and neither correlate with age.

It's case-by-case.

p.s. Extremely rarely has my age ever been a talking point. Hardly any of the women I have dated/slept with have even asked my age, but all of them would have had a pretty good idea because I look my age, used to run a company and am now retired (in my 30s). I am honest about all of this.

Dude, this is an awesome post. I'm 48, have been dating in the early 30s and seeing little resistance. I'm in great shape, don't look like I'm pushing 50, so, it doesn't really seem to be an issue. I have not tried dipping into the 20s that much.

Where are you actually meeting the girls? I'm not much of a club guy, so, it's been meetup groups, classes and some apps. I've missed a few situations early in the journey as I had a mindset that a woman in her 20s or 30s wouldn't be interested. Was a few of those walk away and then realize later on. Doh!

Who would this 'age rule' be for? Don't worry about pleasing other people! What is there to ponder? If you think she's hot, and she's into you, go for it!
