i was walking down the beach when i saw a pretty women sitting alone. we made eye contact, i smiled and went up to her and said "are you columbian" or something like that. we talked for a bit. she seemed smiley and friendly, so i suggested we get ice cream from the shop behind us. so we went, got ice cream, laughed and bantered and then we walked to the pool down in my hotel.. 15mins later she said she had to go but she suggested we meet another time. so 2 days later we meet and walk on the beach for a bit.. i escalated a bit by small touches but we didn't kiss. i didn't go in for a kiss... i didn't know if she was seeing me as a friend or more.. also i'm 23 and she's 30... we laughed about that. also she's in a long distance half committed relationship. when we arrived close to her house we stopped and i asked her if she wanted to have more "fun" or she wanted to be freinds.. she was confused what fun is.. so i said i wanted to kiss her.. she smiled and was friendly but offered a few excuses like i was young, she's in a relationship ect.. and said that she saw me as more a freind. we shook hands..

note: throughout the date i tried to make flirt .. i held her hand for a bit. i called her pretty... i feel i made my intention obvious .. maybe not ... what am i doing wrong
