I'm in a new area and don't have any single friends to go out with and for other reasons, just not in the place where I'm trying to meet girls in the wild. I'm getting a decent number of matches on Tinder, but my message game is pretty rusty and I struggle with worrying about being too forward in asking to meet up vs letting a conversation die in the app.

Anyways, I wanted to see if anyone had examples or successful tips for moving the conversation from the app to meeting up at a bar or coffee basically first few messages while we're both responding. I realize that some people will never feel comfortable enough to meet up without talking for a long time, and that's ok. But if there's a "formulaic" way that's fun, light and cuts to the chase, I would much rather have a conversation in person to see if we click then waste time trying to play the balancing game that messaging on Tinder is.

Please don't waste your time espousing the virtues of picking people up at a grocery store or whatever, I'm looking specifically for anyone who can help me improve my dating app experience at this time.

Thanks in advance for the help!
