New to writing on here, feel more than free to critique and disagree with me.
A new realization clicked for me two days ago. I was at the bar with some old friends. They sat in the corner, staring, judging, and having “sour grapes” about girls the whole night. As being with the wrong crowd can rub off on you, I experienced intense approach anxiety.
Something hit me: I’m only suffering until I open my mouth. The second I approach, I feel free.
This is obvious to everyone, but to get it through your brain: You are literally TORTURING yourself when you’re experiencing approach anxiety and not killing it by instantly approaching.
Anxiety and dopamine work similarly when it comes to self improvement, seduction, etc. They both focus on anticipation, not action. If you watch porn, your dopamine spikes the highest when you’re in the search bar, not watching it. This is the same exact thing. Your anxiety spikes the second the idea of speaking to a girl is involved. The only cure is saying something. Even better if you embarrass yourself. The worst outcome is nowhere near worth how anxious you can be sometimes. Our minds have an impressing way to exaggerate fears.
