As winter is coming upon us, it’s easy to find reasons to stay inside and not go talk to women.

"It’s too dark."

"It’s too cold."

"People aren’t friendly in winter."

Sound familiar? I hear these excuses all the time.

Recently, I was chatting with a potential student who asked me, "Do you still approach women in winter, or do you just wait for spring?"

Let me share a bit of my journey. When I first started improving my dating life back in Latvia, I faced a lot of tough decisions. My first decision was do I stick with my old routines - hanging out with friends, talking about basketball, and drinking - or step outside my comfort zone? I chose to step out.

Then came winter. Latvia’s winters are brutal - temperatures as low as -20°C, streets are often empty with no one to talk to, and the temptation to stay home and binge TV was overwhelming. But again, I faced a decision: Do I stay home or go out and find people to talk to and improve? I chose to go out, and that decision shaped the abundance I enjoy today.

Every small decision adds up. Over time, these choices snowball into massive change. For me, it wasn’t just about facing the cold weather - it was about embracing the discomfort, knowing that growth doesn’t happen when you’re comfortable and complacent.

Eventually, I decided to leave Latvia altogether and move to new countries, learning languages and navigating entirely different dating cultures. Each decision, no matter how uncomfortable, brought me closer to the freedom and adventures I have now.

Amateurs vs. Pros

What separates amateurs from pros isn’t talent or results - it’s mindset. An amateur says, "I’ll go out when the weather’s nice," or "I’m tired, maybe tomorrow." A pro shows up no matter what.

You don’t need to be a “pro pickup artist” (whatever that even means), but if you want real results, you need to take this seriously. No excuses. Winter isn’t an obstacle - it’s an opportunity to stand out.

Think about it: people don’t stop having needs in winter. If anything, the desire for connection is even stronger during the colder months. This is your chance to separate yourself from the “wannabes” who stay home, waiting for spring.

Yes, it’s uncomfortable. Yes, it’s dark. But the question is: What kind of life do you want to build? The one where you give in to excuses, or the one where you take action, no matter the conditions?

I’ve been making these decisions for years, and so I have no problem going out even when it's super cold or dark.

And now it’s your turn. Will you let the cold keep you inside, or will you embrace the discomfort, step out, and take action?

The choice is yours.
