Over the years, it seems as though people have moved more towards 'natural' game.

But I still notice that there's lots of people who have been at this for quite a while now, and are still struggling to even hook the girl are all falling at the same hurdle with running out of things to say, losing the girls attention very early on etc.

There's very little advice on seddit about what to say after the open and how to hook the girl.

I Personally, haven't gone down the routines route yet, but am tempted to experiment.

I often open with something simple (hey! What's up. I'm Jason) kind of thing, as people on seddit say that's basically the best opener. She may or may not reply. The seddit advice seems to be to make a cold read on her after the open or make a comment about something she is wearing/holding or whatever. I might say something like ''I like Your boots'' or ''Ooooh, I have that phone'' or ''You look like you do something creative for a job'' or whatever. If she replies i'll tend to try and milk it a bit to keep teh convo going.

These threads tend to never actually 'take off' and very soon after, I am forced to start asking 'interview questions' and she'll start drifting off.

I posted a field Report on a popular pickup blog recently, and everyone was telling me that I need more structure and to start investigating 'routines'. They all said that routines are basically essential and that without them, unless you are a complete natural, you are shooting yourself in the foot by going in and winging it. They seem to use mystery style routines and have perfected and practiced various pieces and it allows them to look very interesting compared to 'the natural' and gives him time to build attraction/at least give himself a better chance of a longer set, increasing his odds overall

So, my first question is, do any of you guys use routines in order to DHV, help 'hook' the set etc? If so, please elaborate

Secondly, for those who will inevitably tell me ''Just be yourself'', ''talk about whatever'' etc, would you be kind enough to detail (script form) your last 2 or 3 night game approaches, including the open as well as the first few follow up questions/statements to see if I can get a clearer picture in my head - Whether there's a 'pattern' that i'm missing that might help me understand the thought process of 'a natural', and 'get inside your heads' as it were
