You rack up the numbers to find your attitude, and then stop using numbers. I hit on over 800 women (in-person- none of these were "successful") when I first started, until I got an idea of what interest (both mine and theirs) looks like, and what one does to encourage that interest.

Everyone is "secretly" desperate for love. In the absence of actual love, they take attention in the form of validation. If you can figure out how to give everyone you meet or message more of the real thing (ie, undivided, authentic attention in who they are), the ones who are sufficiently shocked will get hooked. This is also high variance- actually getting that kind of raw attention is also uncomfortable (which is why people want love but don't know what to do with it when they actually get it).

Lockdown makes it easier to establish ties at a distance, from what I can tell. I assume it'll pay in compound interest later..

This comment may not be welcome, but from my own experience, girls receive a lot more attention than guys. I'm sure there's a post somewhere about the gender divide on dating apps and it's heavily male. Just doing the maths on that means girls end up getting more attention, whether they mean to or not. I'm not saying there aren't girls out there who just chat and won't meet, but there are also other girls wading through 100s of the same pick up lines, just trying to find someone genuine. When you scroll through, say yes to a few guys and then they all come back as a match, you then have to start working really hard to work out if any of them are what you're looking for (which is obviously a highly personal thing). Not trying to say girls can't be dicks, but it's hard for us too, just in different ways.

it’s true, many young girls do just like it when guys are texting them and they like them, it gives girls a confidence boost and it’s nice. you cant really blame them though, how/why not like it if guys like you? or not enjoy talking to someone just bcause they dont have serious intentions. ofc they like it. you would too.

yeah no shit they like an ego boost. you need to do a better job of filtering them and stop them from wasting your time.

I am a 30 year old male, who has never had anything to do with women until 2 years ago, when I started "day game". I have no reference experience from my younger days, so I have nothing to compare with.

However, when I was a teenager, I noticed this attitude you speak of and it always put me off interacting with women, particularly since I had no group of friends to help me feel better about myself.

It would seem that a number of those whom I approach are suffering from the attitude you describe. They are like "why are you even talking to me!?" it doesn't even occur to them that a man would be interested in them.

I have never had a hook up either from online or day game and I don't expect to until at least a couple more years of practice.
