The most common reason is that deep-down, you don't really think you're attractive or worthy of female attention, so any girl who actually is interested in you must not be worth very much herself because her standards are low enough to include you.

So deep down you have this feeling she must not be very good, and then you start looking for evidence of that, which due to confirmation bias, you can always find.

Well you're very immature and you're just following your hormones, which are crazy and fluctuate.

And it's a fact about humans that we lose interest in people that emotionally invest in us too quick.

Any time that you lose interest in a girl simply because she starts to show interest back, it's because the attraction (for you) was based on the thrill of the chase, not the actual person. This is ridiculously common.

Otherwise, the very fact that she started reciprocating, would have been exciting.

End of story.

Side-note: Creating the whole thrill of the chase is what old school Mystery Method is about. Which is why, it's problematic as a long term strategy: the attraction goes poof pretty easily when it's not based on who someone is as a person.

I have adhd. I have been unable to maintain friendships or relationships for multitude of reasons. One always stands out as i get bored, disinterested, loss of attraction and need for that person to be around. I read a few posts abd forums on this issue. And its more common than I thought. Although for me atm getting rediagnosed is going to be expencive, and getting medical help is needed. But look into that, maybe you have same same. Although I dont fully support adhd drug industry from my time on the medication were the most productive and switched on times i remember.
