Why don't you try approaching random people and striking up conversations with them, male or female. Do this first without actual intent to take them on a date. Just get comfortable with meeting random people and talking to them. When you start to enjoy doing this, then move on to the opposite sex, with intent to get a date.

Been there buddy. It's easier if you have a friend to push you. Give him $20 and let him keep it if you don't approach. Also. You don't realize how much you suck until you approach. The first approach ever I did in the day time, I choked so hard the girl gave me her number out of pity. But know this. Who the fuck would have the balls to approach women in the day time sober? No one except guys like us in the pickup. You will literally make her day as long as you're not needy and have that approval leeching vibe. Until you do that first approach can you fully grasp how much work you have ahead of you. And once you understand that, AA is fucking bullshit and is difficulty 1 of 10 out of all the things you will have to do.
