Dates should be adventures... how?

Referring back to those clips linked around here somewhere of David Wygant talking at seminars, here said something along the lines of dates should be fun adventures and "don't ever take them on a boring date", after which he proceed to bash going to dinner because it's like swapping resumes. The first date should be memorable. I'm struggling with this (i'm extremely analytical but also extremely uncreative).

I live in a boring little city. Really unless you like bars, pool halls, bowling alleys, movies, or restaurants there isn't much to do (hell there aren't even coffee shops, just fast food like drive thru coffee chains). I'm not a fan of bars, pool halls, and bowling alleys and movies and restaurants are too boring for a date. My hobbies don't help either; the things I do for fun are watch movies, play video games, and party with friends. And hell at this point, my friends just don't party as much as they used to.

Most of the women I've dated enjoyed just chillin at my apartment, watching movies and getting physical. These women were usually ones that were pretty attracted to me right from the get-go and women I already got to hang with the day we met (cause it was usually at parties), so hanging out in my apartment satisfied them. But for women I meet more quickly, like this HB8.5 waitress I've been talking to at this bar my friends and I go to weekly, women that I don't get to have that impromptu first date with the night we meet, I can't think of an adventure to invite them along to.

I guess what I'm saying is everything around here seems to say you should tell a women that you doing fun thing XYZ and that they should come along, instead of asking when their free and trying to come up with it together. Doing the latter gives off beta vibes and doesn't take charge enough. Yet for someone who isn't busy all the time, who doesn't have his weekends filled with plans to invite people along to, who usually doesn't know what he's going to do on a given Saturday until that day, what do I do? How am I supposed be the fun guy that has stuff going on always and they miss out if they don't come along when in fact my schedule is usually pretty open, and I have fun not being busy and doing low key things? Texting/saying to a women let's hang out [day] [time] just isn't enticing enough some times.
