I go for a triple date for the first date:

1) Casual, laid back bar.

After half an hour walk down the street to:

Probably 90% of the guys take girls to a date for either coffee or bar... Don't be one of them, stand out.

Take her to some fancier/cooler place. For example there is this killer Drink bar that is themed as Japanese street bar and also serves hot dogs. Perfect as its different and you can have convos about the place itself. Also one other drink bar here is themed after bootlegging time era. You have to ring a phone to get in etc. Also take her to see live music, girls love that. Find something similiar in your city.
Some light activities are great, prefer outdoors but be prepared for weather sucking and have a plan B. Great activities: ice skating, mini golf, bowling, walk and ice cream, etc.

Organic food market on your part was good! Thinking outside the box, thumbs up! :)

edit: Try to keep date cost low tho, not all the girls/dates are worth your money.
