I also used to think that quiet girls were some elusive target that you needed to act delicately with, however this is not the case. The same rules apply to a shy girl as with any girl. She'll pretend like she's different, but really she's just another female with the same female hormones. It might take a little longer to get intimate with her but I assure you you'll get there eventually. Don't be discouraged if she acts cold/silent towards you and press on.

This is a valid post and I don't want to detract from it. But, long term you'll probably be bored shitless with this girl. You say the top hook up in your life, but you probably mean purely on a physical rating. Enjoy the honeymoon phase while it lasts.

I'm being a total negative nancy here. But, maybe you can use this to avoid oneitis and to have a "I don't give a fuck" attitude.

There's a myth that you must be the funniest bastard in order to attract girls. There's more ways to attract and connect with people than just humor. You don't need to keep sending her funny texts.

You can try getting her to open up and share thoughts, feelings, and experiences she cares about. Some girls are just naturally quiet, and you have to continually lead the conversation and there's probably little you can do.

Being rude is just bad policy. I'm not sure what you mean by "most success" when you don't text her for a week. Also, you say you've hooked up but you suspect she has a crush on you. It's not clear whether you guys are dating or having sex or something else. If you've "hooked up" (sex), you shouldn't have to guess that she likes you or not.
