To hit on women you have to risk making women uncomfortable, because some women will have a negative reaction to being hit on. The nicest guys don't dare to make anyone uncomfortable and so they typically never hit on anyone, or do it in such an indirect and careful way that they come across as scared and insecure. You have to have that little bit of "I don't give a fuck if I potentially make you uncomfortable" within you to succeed on the regular. So yes, you need to be a tiny bit of a jerk to succeed, usually. Especially for hitting on women in real life (outside of the apps).

Women are attracted to looks just like men. If a woman is attracted to you, consider it a foot in the door. Now that you got your foot in the door, what you bring as an individual will determine whether or not you can keep your foot in the door, or gain further access. What kind of job do you have? Are you financially stable? Do you have status and are you high value? Do you have an interesting personality? Can you make her laugh? Do you have certain hobbies and interests in common? There is a list of boxes that she is checking from the moment you meet her until the moment you get her phone number, take her out on a date and eventually, or hopefully get inside her. The women that are attracted to “jerks“ are women that are generally damaged and low value.

When it comes down to one night stands it’s usually only appearance that is important. People who know they are good looking are more likely to be narcissistic in some way or have a big ego which is where this ”jerk” stereotype comes from.

Same goes for women, usually the very attractive ones have bigger egos. Just how it is. For relationships I noticed this is not the case, but physical attraction is still important

Of course they're not. What's attractive in jerks is not them being a jerk, but their confidence and social dominance. It's just that those things often coincide.

Women select the jerks cause of their ability to make them feel something.

Women are being given everything since they were born; attention, money, love, etc. So someone giving them these things is completely normal to them (nice guys) and someone who shows them a little attention and them treats them bad (jerks) might come off as something unusual and they make them feel something different.

It’s always about what you can make a women feel. Giving her everything right off the bat might scare them off the same as not giving shit. Some a nice point in between.

Be a nice human being but not be needy towards women.

And no one’s ugly tho, they just don’t spend enough in themselves. Get a nice haircut, nice clothes, nice watch and you’ll be better than the average. Plus points if you go to the gym.

I’m a reagular looking guy and the more I spend on myself, the better I feel and look which translates to a better quality of relationships.

It’s not a pure generalization. More progressive girls are more conscientious of asshole douches. That said, there’s still this biological thing in most of us that want to go after attractive mates, and sometimes that has as much weight as there level of douchiness, do yes, it would be tougher for an unattractive guy to get a gal by being a jerk.

Which then leads to the root of the issue. Lots of guys, including myself, can uplevel attractiveness a little or even a lot by learning how to be attractive and practicing it. You’re level of self-assuredness and self-worth, your appearance, your style, and how you hold yourself.

Think of it like this:

Adonis (Extremely confident and good man) >

Chad (Confident but as a douchebag) >

Beta (No confidence, maybe nice because he doesn't even have the capacity for evil anyways, which doesn't actually make you good.)

There's way more Betas than Chads in the world, and wayyy more Chads than Adonises. So it might give a skewed view that they prefer jerks - but its only because an Adonis is extremely rare to find.

Narcissistic men have always gotten girls. Players and womanizers are narcissists. People are trying to destroy the fact that women find these traits attractive. Women have access to lots of partners this is true but a guy good with women will think to himself im the best option she has. Most jerks don’t care about women the paradox is that it makes them non needy which makes these men more attractive to them.

It's not necessarily that women are attracted to men that are jerks, It's more that men who tend to be jerks in relationships also tend to be fairly charismatic and charming up front which is how they end up with these women. The women then glom onto the initial feelings and vibe and the jerkiness is written off until it's much too late. Then they fall for the sunken cost fallacy + trauma bond + i can change him + it will be different this time.

Be charismatic and charming. Don't be a jerk.
