See, here's the thing, I'm not in it to just get laid. Sex is great and all, but I want a lasting connection. Her personality absolutely does matter in that endeavor.

That said. Do I feel anxious around attractive women and while taking to them? Of course. I think there's always gonna be some degree of anxiety. What I'm trying to figure out is what I need to do to maintain a sense of calm and have a high enough level of confidence.

I'm by no means the most attractive man around. I'm losing my hair so I buzz it really close. I'm a skinny 145 lbs. But I've been complimented as handsome or cute by a number of women. Some of them easily being my version of an 8. What's been made clear is that I can find a partner that's physically appealing to me.

I have no reason to settle for someone and then constantly doubt my attraction for them. I did this recently with a girl I dated on and off for months. I had to call it quits. She was a pretty nice young girl but it wasn't fair to her or myself to keep going. My last real relationship was with a slim thick girl who I was head over heels for. If that isn't there to some degree then it's a total waste of time to me.

No. Every relation is different. Some women want to treat you as sex object, some want romance, some want connection and some want quick hoookup.

Real skill is finding out what you want and communicating this across to find out are you compatibile.

What you said gets a bit close to putting women on pedestal.
