You did the right thing denying her friendship. Guys should normalize doing that. Girls behave as if their wish to be just friends is somehow morally superior to the wish of a man to be something more.

up to you really. if you're emotionally affected, might be healthy to say no or just have a break from her for a while. if you're romantically interested but not that much affected by her decision, I'd probably say it's fine to be her friend BUT make sure she at least helps you meet her cute female friends or acts as wing woman. otherwise you'll just be an emotional pillar whenever "she wants" which I would not do

It’s not rocket science. She likes your personality, she just isn’t sexually attracted to you. Not much more you need to think about. It’s up to you if you’re okay with just being friends
