(Former bartender) he’s a bartender, just step up and be direct about it. However just know that if things don’t work out for whatever reason you’ll have to work and be civil with him- and usually see him flirting with others (part of the gig. sorta- same for waitresses) also you may want to find out the company policy on dating(whatever) other employees. Keep the tension as long as possible- it’s more fun trust me..😌👍🏻

If you don't want to be straight forward go for the classical subtle invite: "hey, any plans for x day?"

If you drop that in the middle of a convo about doing stuff (maybe he's talking about his hobbies or you are talking about how do you usually spend your free time), it's so organic that it wont sound that direct.

If he is into you he'll take the chance to set a date with you.

If he is not that smart and just tells you whatever he is going to do (without inviting you) then you can go for another all time classic:

While talking about things you/he likes to do (like going to the beach, playing boardgames, shopping in the bookstore, playing a sport, having a coffe in a particular coffe shop, etc.), say "we should do that together once" and see how he reacts.

so basically you are ready to mess up your workplace! ok go for it! lol

hes definitely flirting, so do the same. tee hee look at this guy, dropping off the dirty glasses or whatever, tease him like he teases you, jsut reciprocate how he does it

then just go up near him in a small space and brush past him, but then rub up against him, "by accident" just a bit, oooops . keep doing that over a few days. A few lingering glances should be good to go
