Any dating event is for rejects. if you want desirable women then put in some work

Basically this. It is almost like a charity event but it has its place and function in society and shouldn't be denigrated

there's the ocasional not desirable woman who brings her hot friend to not go alone. It's worth a shot I guess, better than sitting at home doing nothing.

There a far more efficient ways to date than dating events

Yeah true that, I signed up cz it was a pilot run and paid next to nothing.
I was bored on a Thursday evening so I thought I might give it a shot.
I won't do it again though.
Not too sound like a narcissistic but I was one of the interesting ones in terms of looks, conversations. I hung around abit after the event and understood why they were all single. Only connected with one women.
I felt out of place at that event.
The bartender was cute though, I focused my attention on her and it was her first day so we got to talking.

Some of the dates felt more like interviews. Girls trying to qualify me.
This is standard for speed dating events. Prepare to quality yourself but also prepare to qualify them. Be prepared to be interviewed.
Bland conversations are also common. Out of 11 women, maybe 1 or 2 find you attractive, and maybe you find 1 to 2 women attractive.
If you want to do well at speed dating events, then you have to play that game well. It's much more direct and logical than any other type of game.

I should have gotten some advice from here.
It's a different scene to a regular bar/club scene.
I probably won't do it again.

These events are basically just Tinder IRL except that you're forced to talk to everyone for 5 minutes. Skip these events, and just use apps or approach IRL.

I did it a few times. Never got a match. Was awkward and boring and interviewy.
[–]No-Emotion5965 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Yeah exactly, it wasn't awkward for me though. I did enjoy some of the conversations.

There was one girl i had to rotate to next and when i sat down and started asking normal questions she said in a bitchy tone ‘ok listen i dont want to talk to you, i prefer to talk to my friend next to me so just be quiet’. It made me feel like shit and host of event forced her to talk to me and i said i no longer wanted to talk to her. But for rest of rotations i was thrown off and upset from it.
Yeah that could shake your confidence. I have learnt not too sweat the rejection.
I worked in sales and used to get rejected all the time. So I don't mind it.
However, I would not let it reflect on yourself or your personality. She was just being rude, you're expected to talk to people at dating events. Lol
Her loss, you're doing great bro. Keep at it!

I guess the girl goes to the event just to hangout with her friend as support who asked her or they get off on denying guys, or are just super rude people or are just socially awkward/asperger types

Get yourself a deck of chickenshit cards off Amazon and go out with a buddy and just play that game until you inevitably get laid. You’ll meet a lot more attractive women this way

Yo the tarot girl sounds awesome. I would have so much fun with her.
where was this dude?
[–]No-Emotion5965 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hahaha, she wasn't. Apparently I picked bad cards. fml
The worse part, her predictions were wrong as well.
I told her I do palm reading and did palm reading for a minute.
She interviewed me literally like a job interview.

I don't mind if astrology is your thing, go for it. But I started talking to this one girl who used it to justify everything.
"Damn, I lost out on this sale today, didn't -"
"Well I mean, your rising Mercury north star is out of alignment with Mars, so that makes sense. If you were an Aries your Venus pattern would've gotten you the sale"
I really wish I was exaggerating, shit got old SUPER quick

I mean, you pretty much described dating muh man. It's always a numbers game. Whether it's speed dating, online dating, or cold approaches out on the street. The ratio is about the same.
