Read Radical Honesty by Brad Blanton: It's not a perfect book* but it got one thing right: Filtering our thoughts (too much) stifles human interaction and real connection. The problem of self-help is, that it's often about shoving further mental concepts into our mind, instead of letting go and arriving in the moment.
Think of the fun guys, you know. What do they all have in common? They do not care (too much)! The filter their thoughts less than average people and just say whats on their minds.
We all are already funny and exiting people, but our ego (=taking our self too serious and thinking of us as the centre of the universe), stops us from expressing it.
*(cultish mentality and reducing all social problem to one aspect of life.)

This is pretty much the idea. I say a combination of learning how to be unfiltered and present combined with practicing it, this will get you there. The problem is most guys won't take the action to practice.
But if the OP does take action, then he will probably find out being fun is something he can already do with a little practice and inner game work.

A book isn't going to magically alter your life and turn you into a fun guy. Figure out what you enjoy and then iterate on that. Especially if you want to "learn how to have fun" that's a pretty personal thing and there's no one size fits all advice because everyone is different.
But I guess a starting point is the book and/or movie Yes Man. Appearntly the book is completely different than the movie but they both have the same premise. That should give you some inspiration about taking steps to try new things. Technical books that delve into theory or psychology are just mental masturbation if you don't take any action with it. I think technical books are more beneficial when you reach some checkpoint where you are happier with where you are at and then you can apply theory or whatever to further enrich your life

How do you figure out how to have fun? For most of my friends it just comes naturally but for me i dont know what i enjoy other than women and sex

Also had that problem before. For context, I'm very serious and logical most of the time but I wanted to be better at having fun so I find several ways to do that. for myself but can be useful for you too. 1 was the law of attraction. If you don't know what that is just a brief summary. If you have positive thoughts so attract positive things and people to your life hen if you have negative thoughts most of the time and the same story I wanted to manifest certain things in my life so I had to be positive if I wanted to manifest anything. 2 was expressing myself. If I found something funny I laughed at it, if I wanted to say a bad joke but I was afraid of others' reaction I told anyway, simply if you have a fun vibe, dare to express it or share it with others, some people gonna like it, some people don't but it doesn't matter till you have fun. 3 was a quote that said you can't fear while you're having fun. So stop overthinking and overcomplicating things, just start and trust yourself that it's gonna work out, or if it doesn't it's okay to make mistakes you learned from it so you're not gonna do the same mistake again. 4 was trying out something that really sucks at, I used to suck at skating but I wanted to learn so I learned it with friends, it was pretty fun laugh at how lame I was sometimes and we both have a great time and vibe, get used to being a beginner and make mistakes, till you can have fun and sometimes even make fun of yourself 1. you won't offended if someone makes fun of you bc you did before so many times and 2 you gonna learn how to have more fun its own sake. I'm still not perfect at it but it's much better than it used to so be patient with yourself, it takes time but it helps to be more attractive and be happier so definitely worth the time and effort. Good luck

Yeah i have the same problem, it's my default to be logical but i find most people function using their feelings on their sleevs, while to me those take a 2nd seat. But this has left me unable to experience happiness, love and loss and the adventure train of life. So i want to get that stick out of my butt a bit

I kinda could overcome it but still working on it, hope that you gonna have some success with it too

Just do and say whatever comes to mind without filter because it'd entertaining to you. People will gravitate toward that

The Charisma Myth and How to win friends and influence people
Maybe I am alone with my opinion but you can also have fun in your 30s. Especially as a man you will look more mature at 30 than at 20 which a lot of women like
It's a lot harder to find friends and single people in your 30's right? everyone's already had their fun casual sex phases and settled into ltr, so you dont have a lot of room to work with.

It depends where you live. I live in Germany and if you live in a big city you can still meet a lot of people.
Also you have to keep in mind that in the western countries the divorce rate is between 40-60% depending on the country. So even if people are in a ltr that does not change that much in my opinion.

First off, get hobbies outside of your norm. Take some classes, get to know people. You can't really learn to be fun. It's either in your personality, or it's not. Getting out amongst people, learning new things, will help though

youll never be fun. what you like and think is fun women wont. therefore youll always be the boring guy. If youre hot women will lie and fake interest to look like they like what you like.
Or if you make billions you can just travel and go to every main event.... they'll make you look cool.
Well isn't this a depressing answer
