I like the way how Colin Salmon speaks and articulates his thoughts. You should try to focus on what is unique to you though and not copy the way other people speak.

Not a guy, or black, but I follow this black guy’s YouTube channel. Your description of smooth and educated describes him very well. I’m friends with him on Facebook and follow him on Instagram because he posts a lot of really inspiring content. He goes live on FB quite a bit, or he use to. Find him on Facebook and add him as a friend. https://youtu.be/eYfTE2S-Y-M
Also, Sevan Bomar. I could listen to that man talk for hours because his intelligence completely mesmerizes me. https://youtu.be/XfhNRVD-pL0
With that said, I don’t think that sounding “ghetto” is necessarily a bad thing. I think that the stereotypical black dialect you mention is just part of your culture and that’s one thing that sets black men apart from other races. Some of the most successful, famous, accomplished black men represent that culture. I’d say Tupac was probably one of the wisest black men ever. He was so incredibly wise beyond his years. Ludacris, Dr. Dre, 50 cent. (Obviously I’m showing my taste in music with these suggestions but that’s neither here nor there lol)
There is no such thing as mastering your persona, you are who you are. Don’t change yourself to attract another person, if you want to change yourself, do it for you so that it comes naturally and you are honoring and connecting to the person that you are deep down.
Last recommendation and I’m sure you’ve heard of them- Abba & Preach on YouTube. They are cool af and entertaining to listen to.

Adapting your conversion styles based on who you are talking makes you more socially versatile. Trying too hard to be "educated" can come off as standoffish to some people. Obviously you don't want to completely have no personality of your own, but being aware of what lingo to use depending on the situation and audience can come a long way.

I've learned that over the years, but I've come to lose a certain level of respect for myself for constantly "chameleoning". It's like putting on a mask for every occasion. It makes sense tactically but I disgust and confuse myself whenever I do, because there's a huge question of which of these two people I really am.

Read Jung’s work on the Persona. Whenever you interact with other people you’re basically creating a fake self anyway, so you might as well optimize it.

Well I think you shouldn't do so to the point that you are acting in a way that is against your principles. Varying your lingo and communication style does not equal changing your personality. For example, talking to my hood friends with using SOME slang and being primed to think like someone who is from the hood is fine, but completely acting hood is too much. That is much better than being using academic words and not trying to meet them in the middle at all. It's somewhat of a balancing act, but it's the skillset that helped me make friends with people from all backgrounds and socioeconomic status and, most importantly, helped pick up women of all kinds and types.

Forget about modeling yourself and having a persona. This is fake ass bullshit. Focus on accepting who you are and being okay with that. No truly confident man goes around acting like someone else. Confident people act like themselves. Have a take it or leave it attitude. If a chick doesn't like that you are well spoken and intelligent, her loss. You are subconsciously telling to it self you are not good enough as you are and that will always fuck you up no matter how desperately you try to cover it up with a fake gangster persona.

I think most black NFL players have the right balance between slang/casual and professional.
Just watch their interviews. A lot of is actually being "that guy" mixed with media training, but if you are looking for real life examples in the flesh, its them.
