The true answer though is that every guy will like different things. Some general good advice is to always keep some breath mints of some kind handy. If you're worried about dry lips, keep some lip balm as well. Depending on the guy, you might want to excuse yourself to prepare. Or if he's a chill guy you can just prepare right in front of him. Personally I'd find it both funny and endearing if a girl paused things to put on lip balm and take a mint.

As a guy, my experience is that every girl I've made out or been intimate with are a bit different. You have to feel out how much they like it as you do certain things to/with him. I've had girls that don't like much tongue, and also girls that uses almost all tongue. Everyone is a bit different, and figuring it out is half the fun.

At the same time, don't derail too far from what you like, it's important that you enjoy it as well.

Lastly, if the guy is already spending alone time with you and asked to make out, my bet is you've already turned him on. Dudes are just easier when it comes to this.

This might just be me looking back with rose-tinted glasses, but I think a bit of indecision and hesitance is actually really cute in a woman. It makes her look vulnerable, which is really intimate. You usually only display vulnerability around people you trust, so it's really quite nice.
