good for you dude. just take one advice from this stranger. girls are not priority in life, you are. keep improving yourself keep investing in yourself and everything will be golden.

I can't stress this point enough. If your intent is to only get girls you're missing the point. Girls attract to guys who live their best self, they don't attract to guys trying to play games so they can do whatever they can to hook up.
If you improve on yourself, build confidence, self esteem, and self worth... you won't have to do anything much because girls will naturally be attracted to you.

Can you give us a list of the best advice that worked for you?

Don't think about whether or not you're going to talk to a girl just say 1. 2. 3 fuck it and introduce yourself.
Think of every girl you talk to as practice so even if you fail its a success. Exp points.
Don't ask boring questions like "what do you do?" or "what do you do for fun?" right at the beggining, rather do something fun like like play thumb war or ask them something no one really asks like what's your favorite snack or do you think I could pull off a mustache.
Have fun and be positive the energy makes people feel good and want to be around you.
Learn some verbal games to play like the cube personality test or the 5 question game.
Use open and comfortable body language, you'll be surprised how far good and confident posture goes.
Opening lines like "hey I don't believe we've met, I'm so and so" and "hey I know this is random, but I thought you were cute so I had to come introduce myself" work quite well.
Don't chase a girl too hard if it seems like you're putting in all the effort just move on.
Always escelate, you don't want her to get too comfortable or bored.
Talk about what you're passionate about and really sell it. If you play an instrument or love animals really talk about how it makes you feel.
And obviously put a lot effort into your appearance and get nice cologne. When you look good you feel good and people feel that energy from you. Even just getting a nice pump before going out like doing a few push-ups and pull-ups can make a big difference to your confidence.

Bars and dog parks, but mostly bars.

You drinking?
[–]Paddythebaddie3 points 4 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link
I have a few drinks but never to the point where I have a hangover. I always have a glass of water between drinks. I'm taking creatine and anti-depressants so I'm not actually supposed to drink.

Thats great man glad to hear it. What has helped you the most? I know I can do well for myself but like you said I get scared even making eye contact with women/strangers. Ive had success in the past but my confidence has never built from it

I think what helped the most was just constant exposure and gyming. I started putting a lot more effort into myself and making it a mission to be more social. Putting yourself out there really diminishes that fear response you get from anxiety but you have to stay consistent and not fall back into avoiding any uncomfortable social situations its almost like your brain rewires what's supposed to trigger your fears/awkwardness.

Any threads you'd recommend that particularly helped you? I saw you listed general advice below.
Since finding advice on game/pickup a couple of years ago my whole world has changed, but I'm always slow to hit my stride. It will happen eventually in time, but I always love tips/tricks that helped other dudes.

Any tips on overcoming social anxiety generally? I used to easily hit things off with strangers, but ever since quruantine and staying indoors with seldom social activities, i seem to lose my touch. I get shy and awkward when i talk to new people.
For me personally just constant exposure to social situations that make me uncomfortable seem to work the best for over coming social anxiety. Having positive and supportive friends also helps and of course working out and cardio. My cousin that has severe social anxiety claims mixed martial arts classes helped him immensely.
But therapy is probably your best bet since everyone is different and a specialist will most likely be able to identify the root cause of your anxiety and help you work through it.
