She's just coming off a breakup. People react to that differently. The same person can even react to each break up they go through differently.
Getting wishy washy is certainly not unheard of for someone in her position.
You can try and contact her again but keep her current situation in mind and manage your expectations accordingly.
If you think you couldn't help but get attached if you got involved any further then I would recommend you just move on.

I made the move and double texted her. I just said “hey, if you aren’t doing anything tomorrow I’d like to take you out to dinner. If you aren’t interested it’s all good!”

As if the second text is all of a sudden change her mindset about you.
Girls who are interested will respond. You dont need to double text. If they dont that just means you need to make a better initial impression.
However i am not against double text. You lose nothing by sending another text.

I mean the first message just said “hey what’s up” so she might have just been busy and not wanted to talk, if it fails it fails. I’d rather try with honor then not try at all. If she says no or doesn’t answer then I won’t bother her again

Yeah, I agree on not double texting sometimes it can make you look needy. In this case it sounds way too early for her after a breakup. You probably should have given her more time to recover b4 trying to move things forward. She’s probably not ready so don’t take it personal.

I definitely believe her that she got back with her boyfriend too, just because I know they broke up like right before we met lmao. Honestly I should’ve seen that coming
