Dude, she told you in person she had a busy week coming up and yet you immediately lobbed a specific day (with zero wiggle room) early in that busy week. That's just asking for a no. Get a woman's schedule first and/or pick TWO days so there's more wiggle room there. I would've started soft closing by calling back to the actual logistical information she already provided me with irl. "And how's your wk looking... still actively avoiding fun or no ; ) " etc
The let me know stuff doesn't work reliably in these early stages, in my experience. I just would've said "cool I'll circle back towards the end of the week." Then I would've planned something for either that weekend or next week.
I just don't see how you're concluding lack of interest here when 1) She actually counteroffered for Sat, a prime day of the week. and 2) You made avoidable logistical mistakes, which by the way you can certainly come back from.

I messaged her today at around 1PM with a view to starting a conversation to get her on a date on Monday. 5 hours later.. no response..
Ah well I will let her get back to me.. if I get no response after a few days I'll just delete her number!

"No dramas, let me know when your schedule clears up and we can work something out it'd be nice to meet up".
Well, looking at this again, your line wasn't the greatest. It was passive and maybe even aloof, when again, this all could've been avoided if you handled her clear logistics. She told you when she was free. You just didn't listen. Next time, here's how I would've handled it, when she offered Saturday.
"Rats, can't do Saturday. I'm out of town. How about early next week?" Then she replies. Then you say "cool I'll circle back end of the week." This intermediate communication is completely missing from this interaction. Now you're sort of starting from square one, several days later. That said, she may yet reply. It's only been 5 hours. But it didn't have to be this way haha.

Haha I wasn't trying to be passive or aloof. I'm from the UK and where I'm from at least in my area "No dramas" is a regular saying!
I was just trying to respect her space. This is why I hate texting it's so impersonal. Calling is better I think haha
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago* (2 children) | Copy Link
I hear you bro. But you're not fully listening. It's passive/aloof because she told you when she was free ("busy week"/"free starting Saturday") and yet you told her well let me know when you're free! WTF. Think about it from her perspective. She just did lol. No bueno, brother. And now you're circling back several days later on the heels of this muck up. You might be OK. She might eventually reply. But it's not ideal. And we can all talk about how "impersonal" texting is, but the fact of the matter is in these early stages, it's often the primary/best way we communicate with women. Many women won't pick up the phone until they're more invested. So you might as well fix the blind spots you have here. Good texting principles can be learned.

She just text me saying she was sorry for the late reply. She told.me her weeks been mad and that she is starting her second job next week so doesn't have much free time and that she is working out what her shifts will be like for the week after.
Your thoughts??
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hmm. There's a lot of logistics going on here. She might've cooled. In my experience, you need to back off making plans a bit and give value/go back to earlier connection points. I'd reply with something like: "Sheesh we really are two busy souls aren't we lol." See how she plays with that. Then you can gauge the vibe from there. I'd keep her on your radar but not get your hopes up. If you want examples of how this can eventually pay off feel free to PM.

I think you handled it quite well. Good job not double texting and actioning a meet up quickly.
From your post she seems interested. The modern woman is actually really busy, hate when people say that if she’s busy she’s flat out no interested. Although, if her schedule doesn’t free up in a 2-3 week span that’s usually not a good sign.
No one can answer that but you’ve done everything you can so you can sit back and relax. If she doesn’t respond then you know to move along.

Thanks pal I appreciate your advice just have to wait and see. Women can blow hot then cold I find aha.

No problem. Ha tell me about it. Better off not pulling out your hair trying to understand. Can only control what we can control!
I texted her 3 days ago on 06/11/2021 simply asking how she was doing she replied back, soon after, apologising for her late response and that she had started a 2nd job this week and had precious little time. She told me she was going to check her shifts for the week after and let me know.
I replied back saying she didn't need to apologise as I understand life can be hectic. She asked me how my work as going.
I stayed that it was busy and I'd had a long night shift but was looking forward to bed and seeing her soon.
No response after that. But I'm leaving as is now I've made my intent abundantly clear.

Yeah definitely leave it alone, you’ve done more than enough. Sometimes our best play is doing nothing at all. Just focus on other things (including other women) but don’t bank on her coming around. Might set yourself up for disappointment.
[–]BangReign 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
Dude.. I'm sorry but the lack of follow up shows that you are not interested. She said she can't Tuesday but can Saturday. You have to make yourself available just as she does. If you aren't actually available Saturday, ask her if Sunday works
[–]TheKnight125 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I'm working Saturday night
[–][deleted] 12 points13 points14 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'll cover for you so you can enjoy your date
[–]BangReign 5 points6 points7 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ok so just hit her up and ask what's she's up to Sunday or whenever you have a free day. It isn't rocket science, like if yall had mutual interest sometimes you gotta be a little flexible
[–]susumaya 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Sounds like the “No Dramas” put her off

Schedule issues happen more than most people realize. It can be particularly tricky to line up dates sometimes, especially if you have an atypical schedule.
I've had more than a few first dates happen spontaneously, because I'd texted her and she wasn't doing anything. I've also had plenty of women that I couldn't make anything work due to our schedules.
Doesn't seem like anything out of the ordinary there. If you're able to swing something you should.
Doesn't seem to me to be a blow off answer.

I messaged her today at 1PM to open a conversation with a view to setting up a date for Monday.
5 hours later complete radio silence.. if I get no response again I'm just deleting her number haha

You messed up the moment you asked for a date on Tuesday, she clearly stated she was busy that week. She even suggested a day! Which women who are not interested and play games don't do. You then proceeded to not compromise and make it only on your terms and not even thinking about her. You basically came off as selfish and you would be lucky if she ever texts you back. Learn And grow, best of luck 🤞
Hi,
I didn't mean to come across as selfish.. I genuinely can only do Tuesday I work shifts so I was only letting her know that i too wouldn't be available all weel and to let me know when her schedule cleared up.
I was trying to be respectful of her space believe it or not.. and let her have her space. I only just met her she doesn't owe me shit.

If someone really wants to see you, they’ll make the time. Hang back and let her contact you. If a week goes by and you haven’t heard anything, check in CASUALLY one more time with a specific plans (time/date) in mind, if you really want to give it one last shot. However, if she hasn’t contacted you after a week, she’s just not that interested.
Men tend to hang onto small indicators of interest from women during the initial interaction and assume that means that she automatically wants to date. This isn’t true.
Women are very much tied to the present moment, and are fickle with their emotions with people they’ve just met. She might have had a decent level of attraction to you in the moment, and she got a little emotional high from it, but after you separated that night, it very likely faded.

That was only 2 days ago brother. Give it some time! You’ve mentioned you guys both have busy schedules so expect a response even a week from when you messaged her.
Girls appreciate it when guys give them space. Remember to focus on you as well. Avoid romanticising/fantasising about yourself and her too much as this will set your expectations super high. Take it as it comes, and let things unfold organically.
If it’s meant to happen, it will!

Maybe she didn't appreciate the run on sentence in your text
I think you just let her get back to you but continue to either meet other women or be invested in something else lest you get oneitis
I want to say she'll respond since enough rapport was established but whether she does or not, just don't take it personally
[–]iambabyshark -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
She's interested. Her giving you her number is a huge interest signal, and the fact she texted back proves it wasn't just to be nice. You did the right thing with your date setup (chicks love it when you decide the place/time, closer it is the better). You probably should have tried to scope out her work schedule covertly prior, but she's still interested if she offered another time. For me, I do three strikes: 1. I offer a date and she rejects 2. She doesn't immediately offer a new time (so you're fine on this) 3. I attempt again in a few days and she rejects it without givng another time If she fails all three, ghost and move on to your next number

If you really wanted to meet her you would have called out of work Saturday, but i don't know your situation so that might be out of question. If anything you could have suggested something the following week if possible, instead you put the ball in her court. And i don't understand why you added that last comment.
[–]BuffedLars 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes you did well.
No one knows if she is interested or will respond only time will tell.
For now stop thinking and forgot about her and meet more women.
Don't rely on one single girl.
Women are like applying for jobs or colleges.

Sounds like you handled it well but she really is busy. Find a time that works for both of you.
