It’s not a weird experience. Is this your first girlfriend or something?
So she told you she has commitment issues. Okay, FINE. So date, have fun, hook up, and don’t mention ever getting into a relationship with her unless she does. That’s all you have to do. Don’t fall in love with her. Can you do that?
If not, I would look somewhere else. Because in other words, it seems like she’s looking for something casual. If you aren’t, this won’t work well.
In the meantime, however, like I said, just hang out, have fun, and hook up. Anything more than that, you’re being extra, and ruining your chances at hanging out, having fun, and hooking up.

He's already head over heels in love with her so your advice is moot.

Correct, that’s what it looks like. He needs to get out of this mindset quickly and stop putting her on a pedestal. It sounds like he has one foot in the friendzone already.

I mean realistically there’s girls that’ll do that to a guy. The key is to play it cool and mirror that attraction. Always let the girl escalate relationship stuff anyway. Like the first comment said date, have fun, hookup. If you keep it at that everything inevitably follows it

Don'ts * Don't try to "talk" her into anything or convince her. Or not even that she won't get hurt this time. Just be cool about it.
I know how it gets sometimes when things go super well with a girl worst thing you can do is to be pushy trying to make things happen. Give her room to chase. You've hooked her now use your power wisely.
be the cool guy she can have fun with who doesn't take life too seriously.

Dude, it's on her not on you! Stop putting her problems on yourself. You had a fun date and she pulls back, it's not your job to make her want u or hook her or any crap. If she is unhealthy emotionally this type of behaviour will fuck you up. Ask yourself what u really want from her. And tell her. That's how mature people act. If she doesn't want it, move on, seriously. There are so many normal girls out there that act better and not "hot and cold" You will waste time and energy.

Every time a girl has said that is because I came across as too needy and too into her. They sense that you are falling for them and are trying to put the breaks on it. Eventually, it will be a total turn off for them.

Set another date at NIGHT—grab a casual drink, shoot pool, a fun, inexpensive dinner. Coffee/daytime dates early on reinforce to her that you’re a platonic friend, not someone she’s dating. You may think that coffee dates make you look mature, but you want to stick with nighttime dates until sex occurs.
Text her with a specific time and date and place. “Was thinking we could go to [place] this Saturday. Let me know what you think” not “Would you like to go to [place]?” You don’t want to sound like you’re asking for her permission.
Hang back. If she declines or gives an excuse, act cool and then let her come to you. If she keeps texting just to chat, be polite, friendly, but very succinct. Short, one sentence answers, no emojis or exclamation points. You want to get to know her more in person, not over chat.
Like the other commenter said, chill out. You sound like you’re already in love. You don’t know her at all yet, and she sound sounds like she could potentially be flaky. You don’t want to deal with that. Enjoy your dates, stay present in the moment, hook up as much as possible. Stop putting her on a pedestal. View yourself as a prize as well.
