This is what I do too. Keeps it simple, conveys more than words could.

Something along the lines of “I had fun with you…you know how to reach me if you find you need a buddy to grab a drink with…”
I wouldn’t write her off because you don’t know what’s going on in her life. You just met her. She liked you enough to actually text you. Letting her know you’re open to meeting up in the future isn’t needy to me.
The guy I’m currently seeing I met at a time when I was finally getting out of a bad off and on again relationship. I needed some time. I’m glad he offered me friendship without putting pressure on me.

I wish I saw this before I responded. I thanked her for her honestly and wished her a good trip on her vacation to which she liked my message.
This response is much better.

What do you want? Do you even want to date her or do you just want to fuck her? Be clear with your intentions
[–]ImaniYasira 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Sounds perfect, honestly..
[–]MarsupialDry4355 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I agree 🥰 There seem to be some very bitter men in the comments 😩
[–]DsTouch 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago* (21 children) | Copy Link
Don't react. Don't send anything; delete and move on. Plenty of other peoplo who won't waste your time. You think she would feed that line to Henry Cavill or Michael B Jordan? She's willing to date, just not you - probably because you were a stranger she met while drinking. Not enough rapport established to make them feel comfortable but don't feel bad.
[–]beadlet 17 points18 points19 points 4 years ago (19 children) | Copy Link
She gave the time to be honest, I don’t see anything wrong with him replying with “no problem/thanks for being honest”. One text is not a waste of time . You sound bitter
[–]DsTouch 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago* (18 children) | Copy Link
It's not being bitter it's knowing there's nothing to gain from sending a needy "let me know if you change your mind" text. If you've ever dealt with straight women before I'm sure you realize this is a common way to politely excuse themselves from you without coming off as a "bitch" or whatever other insult rejected guys throw at them. But best believe they would date if the right person came along. There is no point in continuing the interaction unless you want to become her orbiter or be known as the creepy guy from the bar who can't take no for an answer. Having self respect isn't wrong, it's not like I told him to cuss her out or be disrespectful. Just walk away and work on building more rapport next time.
[–]beadlet 2 points3 points4 points 4 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link
Op clearly intends on responding, they were asking about the response itself, not if they should send one. I don’t see how sending a mature response from someone’s polite rejection is lacking self-respect.
As far as your rant about she would date someone if it was “someone else”, is a pretty wild assumption, creating fake scenarios isn’t helpful.
[–]DsTouch -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago* (16 children) | Copy Link
I didn't rant, I provided an opinion and your reaction is to be insulting lol. Nice thirst trap pics though, I'm sure we should all listen to your advice.
[–]beadlet 3 points4 points5 points 4 years ago (15 children) | Copy Link
It was very much a rant. But right, somehow my photos mean I’m incapable of giving advice. But I guess you ran out of valid arguments, so makes sense.
[–]DsTouch -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
Isn't it time for you daily onlyfans post? So desperate for attention that you need strange men on the internet to validate your body. Probably not the type of girl most of us are looking for, thus your advice is not to be taken seriously.

Sigh, it’s work, you silly man (who’s also spending all his time on Reddit)Try not to be too hypocritical. I’m not gonna waste my time stalking your page, like you’re doing mine; you’re showing yourself enough with these comments.
[–]DsTouch -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link
I have a real job where I work from home and can post on reddit at my leisure. Maybe consider getting an education so you can do that instead of selling your body because you're insecure and lack real world skills. You won't stalk my page because there's nothing to find.
[–]beadlet 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
We have something in common! I also work from home and it is a real job :-) I graduated from university with a bachelors’ degree, but even if I hadn’t, there would be nothing wrong with that. Not everyone has access to education. But, I guess you’re also ableist along with misogynist/anti-sw, big surprise.

You’re black aren’t you? No wonder you can’t respect a sex worker.. or women for that matter
[–]TheRiverOfDyx 1 point2 points3 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Eh, put it another way. She throws those pictures into the void, same as going to the beach, and she makes bank off sorry losers too wrapped up in their porn addictions and fuckin simp mentalities to ever get close to a girl, let alone a pretty girl. You’re throwing out anything and everything just to satiate your ego, maybe check yourself, bud. I hate that girls can make money for simply existing and doing what they’d already do, but we’d both do it if we were girls. Maybe curtail your jealousy a bit, its a turn off. Its only a turn on when a girl is TRYING to make you jealous, and you still resist that urge.
Good day

Say you do that and then by chance you run into one another at a later stage where she’s single, looking better than she did before, the vibe is still there but you burned that bridge and she’ll likely remember that if her self esteem is reasonable.
The community here is way to quick to perceive behaviour like this as leading a guy on when you just don’t know what may be going on in her life. She may have reached out because she was interested but then realised she really isn’t in a place we’re dating makes sense for her and she didn’t realise that until chatting with you. It’s got nothing to do with you but more a reflection on her own life. Much better to be cool about it and keep that path open.
Flip side: she could have just reached out for validation and then when he asked her out, she didn’t know how to handle it without ghosting and now we have the OP situation.
It’s a case by case basis but better to give benefit of the doubt because if the situation is the former, it’s obvious. If it’s the latter is even MORE obvious.
[–]CompetitionFair7686 -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
No, you need to keep a mysterious vibe, that means don’t let her think she can have you whenever she wants. That basically kills all the thrill.
No need to sound disappointed or let down, no need to thank her for her honesty. She should even doubt whether you want her or not, keep her guessing.
[–]UrFavPlayerIsBack -1 points0 points1 point 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Silence. Mirror her.
[–]Good_Comedian_32 -3 points-2 points-1 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Too needy. Just say no problem. She's not interested at this point so you can stop talking to her or start being her friend. Maybe she has cute friends to introduce you to or if you go out with her it will give you status showing other girls that you're not a weirdo and can have girl friends
[–]Chad_Thundermember 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
There's nothing wrong with that OP. Just don't expect her to actually reach out in the future. If it's a no on the first time, it's gonna be extremely likely that it's gonna be a no forever.
[–]FunComprehensive4364 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I’m aware. I don’t expect anything from this.
[–]Endisnear77 0 points1 point2 points 4 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Dont even reply and talk to other girls, when she comes back you do the same thing if she doesnt fuck it, there are WAY many women out there, btw dont say "would you like to take coffe sometime?", Say "we should get a coffe".
