Not a woman, but the only conclusion I can reach is that women are human beings with just as varied personalities and preferences as men. There is no rule or technique that works for all women. Some things might be well received by some women but are an immediate turn off for others. I think it's not really how women like to be approached but by whom women like to be approached. Are you living an interesting life and have nice topics of conversations, or stories you can tell? Are you in shape and have a good hygiene? Are you funny or just a boring person? You have to ask yourself these questions and improve these points if you want to get them interested in you, either if you are making friends or looking for a date. Training yourself on becoming better at these points is part of the journey. Opening is the easy part. A simple hi I'm "name" it's enough but there are multiple ways of opening. But if you have anxiety that's another point you need to work on. Think about this as a video game. You have several stats, and every time you are trying something new, or training yourself doing something you're not comfortable with, you are increasing your stats. Untill you reach max level lol

I’m F me personally I cannot stand any form of chatting up, nor compliments ! I’ve always been for a convo and if I have similar interests take it from there I’m not one for really being shy anyway so I would start a convo myself I’m quite vocal and a dominant conversationalist… but I find nothing more attractive and sexy than a good convo about decent topics I met my now partner through a convo about conspiracy theory’s and it took of from their we been together 3 year in October! We actually met prior at a club and attended the after party with friends together but we never spoke- I ran into him again in our pub and convo took off from their- but I never liked chat up lines nor compliments
