Start practicing conversation. Don't pick a mark and try your zero game on her. Instead, start having conversations with everyone. At the store, market, concert, bus stop, elevator. Be interesting. People love to talk about themselves, so ask questions.
You'll notice that approaching that attractive girl gets a lot easier when you have practice approaching people. It won't matter where you are, whether it's the nightclub or a Tinder chat or the grocery store.
Practice.

Ok, this sounds like cool advice. I can try making small talk with cashiers and try to make them genuinely laugh, not politely. I already try making conversation with the receptionist at my temp job and I've also been doing interviews for permanent jobs so there's some talking in that. It sucks when employers reject you too haha, but I'm getting better at interviews as I do more of them, so maybe it'll be the same for women on Tinder and cupid.

Pick 2 potential communities and reach out and volunteer. There is stuff that is fun and non-committal. It's easy to ask for a number to hangout when you're helping them without asking for anything in return. In my case I didn't even have to ask.
I started volunteering at a farmers market because i found out i dig chicks that like plants. I don't get paid in money, i get paid in friends that invite me to parties. I ended up going to a party on a farm and it was badass.

Nice suggestion. I thought about volunteering for ComicCon and those kind of conventions because of my nerdy background and because the people that go to them will have worse social skills than me. For the record, I also play guitar and workout, so I'm not a total geek, and I've been to nightclubs plenty of times, and almost always left with depression and tinnitus. So going to an event like ComicCon, I'm more likely to be around people on my level who I will have an easier time talking to and connecting with.
I'm not sure what other communities I might connect with though. Ones to do with pets or animals? Any ideas anyone? I'm not a pro at the guitar so I don't think anything to do with music will work, plus my tastes are different to everyone elses.

Take guitar lessons bi-weekly and pick a teacher that is on the younger side and can give you connections to music people, eventually you'll probably end up getting invited to a house party with live music or something like that. I'm probably gonna do that. My town also has a music hub that I might volunteer at. You don't have to be good at guitar.

Literally anywhere

Day 1042, still waiting in my bedroom and no girls have turned up yet. I know if I wait patiently enough they will come to me. Any day now..

I'd just like to reiterate for the Werewolf; literally anywhere (where other people go).

Thanks man. I’m too crass. Any reply I gave was going to come off super shitty.

Shit advice because cold approach has literally the lowest success rate of any approach.

Sure, if you’re using canned lines, Magic, and goofy hats

I am using neither of those. I approach with confidence. I have over 150 approaches done with almost 0 success. No canned shit here.
I just think what you're saying isn't great advice.
I would opt to grind for social game rather than cold-approach.

Traditional PUA is meant for club sluts. No tricks, manipulation, or peacocking is going to cut it at Target. “Hey I’m Dave” isn’t going to cut it. There has to be context. You need a reason to approach in 2018. People aren’t open to strangers chatting them up anymore.

That is a distinction that needs to be made a lot more.

Everywhere. It is not impossible. You have to know how to open, create the rapport and eject after getting a number. You try to do this 20 times a day. It is a basic PUA routine. It is like doing pushup and situps 50 times a day.

Get off the computer and go outside. THAT'S where the women are.
