I tend to go for the girls 7-8 years younger than me (like 18 year olds) but they tend to be VERY superficial and also anxious with talking face to face with strangers (grew up on social media) which makes cold approach almost impossible which sucks lol (I still get the occasional one, though)
But the ones who are 6-7 years older are usually much easier for me. They seem to value fun and charisma etc as opposed to just a handsome face. Also they are less weirded out when talking to a stranger which makes it a lot easier to hook etc.

Depends on their maturity level. Im 20 who was talking to a 26 year old and im more mature than she is. And thank god i dodged that bullet

It's like I'm very mature in talking, they've even told me that you're mature beyond your years , yet they seem to pretty much disappear / not respond to my advances .

It depends on your age.
I’m 29. A 23 year old man is too young for me IMO. They just will not want the same things in life. Also they remind me of my students.
If you’re 50, then no one is going to care.

So you'd reject them even if you find them attractive?
[–]Daytripsinsidecars 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Of course!
How is this even a question? There are lots of good looking men out there. Got to cut those numbers down somehow.

There are. I live in NYC. There are literally thousands of good looking men (physically).
If he doesn’t meet 1) and he isn’t an appropriate age I wouldn’t even give the guy a chance.
I have hundreds of options. Age is one of my criteria for reducing that number down.
Sounds brutal but it’s true...
This whole “but what if he’s perfect in every other way?” Question... well sure but if I’m on a dating app how am I going to ever get to know he’s perfect in every other way?
When I was single I would go on 3 dates a week. It was exhausting. You have to come up with ways of cutting that number down.
And chemistry is important. But so is my time.
It takes time to figure out if there’s chemistry. I haven’t got the time to figure that out for guys who aren’t attractive physically or who are too young or too old.

Im talking about real life , man. I don't use dating apps. Of course dating apps are different. But I'm talking about real life interactions above

By now you’ve just realized that you simply can’t take dating advice from women.
The truth is that game trumps all...
If a 23 year old that was hot and ran solid game in her she’d most likely wake up next to him tomorrow.
I mean age never mattered to me at all , since if I feel attracted to someone , something as small as age goes out of the window. Doesn't even cross my mind. I really wanted to know what people in general think though

Same applies.

I have had sex with a younger guy (I'm 29 and he is 22) and he is sweet and all, great sexually, BUT...past that I would not consider dating him. Why??? Because he and I are very diff: (Me) college educated, FT professional career, my own home, friends, travel, etc. (Him) still deciding whether he even wants to go back to school after he quit, works PT at a grocery store, lives with his parents at home, not much of a social life. Again, he is a sweetheart, and very very attractive, a true genuine guy - but in no way relationship/dating material for me...
So yes, it is possible for older women to give a younger guy a chance, BUT the reason behind it is what matters. Plus my life goals dont align with his...so if we met under diff circumstances, I'd never have bothered with him.

So you'd say age is a deal breaker and it's probably not me ? Right?
[–]getyourlifeplease 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Age IS a dealbreaker - but there are factors that play into that too (like I mentioned). There are always exceptions, basically! 😉

Girls of any age tend to fall in with (believe) the frame of a guy ... but only if he holds the frame with 100% conviction. If you're approaching these older women with ANY niggling doubts about the age difference then you're toast. She will pick up on your doubts and echo them to herself. She'll start to think ... "my roommates will laugh at me", "he's probably immature" and make other excuses.
If you're totally convinced, "this is cool we can really get it on together" and there isn't a shred of doubt in your mind, the woman is far less likely to even notice the age difference let alone start thinking of objections.

Women are usually looking for older guys. This is a fact.
A lot of women sometimes hook up with younger guys. This is a fact.
If you are interested in women 6-7years older smoothmax is giving some solid advice. You'll need to be able to hold the pressure of her doubts about the age difference. She is going to wonder what her friends will think of you. She is going to look for signs of insecurity and immaturity even more then she would normally. And you'll have to beat those odds.
Some advice: don't talk about age at all. Give a direct answer when she asks yours. Even if she acts like you're now a kid in her eyes don't give up. Stay confident and keep flirting. Have fun and treat her like you would treat a girl your age. Don't try to look older by acting above your age because it shows you're insecure about the age difference.
Also when I say ignore I almost mean it literally. "Omg you're like 7years younger" "yes, do you want a drink?"/"uhu wait I see my friend"/"I think so yeah, the thing you said about the dj is true btw he does keep going back to kygo mixes!" Don't be a dick about it just continue the conversation!
In the end your chances (on average) of landing an older woman are lower then a younger one but this should help out a bit.
Feel free to ask more or give me feedback!
