So I'm in H-E-B. I stopped by to grab a few things, NOT to scope out girls. I was in there maybe 5-10 min when I spot a hot fitness girl. I figure since I'm already there I might as well meet her. I hesitate a bit, I spot her in another aisle, there are a bunch of people around her, I hesitate some more for fear of the other people overhearing. I circle around a couple times pretending to be on my phone, and cross paths with a manger looking guy a few different times. She is finally by herself and so I go up to her - I started with "Hey can I meet you real quick?" and then "I just thought you were cute and wanted to meet you." She had an accent from another country. I guessed that she was from Russia. Our interaction had gone on for maybe 7 seconds, then said manager guy comes up and interrupts us while said fitness girl walks away from us:

Him: "Can I help you find something sir?"

Me: "No"

Him: "Is there a particular reason you were talking to her?"

Me: "Oh I just wanted to meet her"

Him: "Do you wanna finish your shopping?"

Me: "Yeah sure"

As I walk away I can totally sense his eyes on me, like hes gonna call security or some shit. Since he interrupted our interaction literally the second I started talking to her, I can only surmise that either they knew each other, and that she had told him to ward off dudes that try talking to her, or that he had it out for me to begin with and wanted to try some white-knighting.

I am a good-looking guy and have learned to respect a girl's no, and not to pester them, even though this guy cut us off before she could even say no.

At the same time this shit gets to me and I think "maybe he's right" - "Maybe I am creeping girls out", "maybe I am repulsing them and making then uncomfortable", is he right? Did I do something wrong?

I need a second opinion guys...
