This is what you did wrong: getting all in your head like this. It's not about not ever fucking up or doing the wrong thing, it's about doing so many things right that the times you fuck up don't matter.

Insecurity about doing a handshake wrong is much worse than a "bad handshake".

Thinking too much and the wrong environment to “attempt to talk”. Next time try to bring her to a bar or somewhere that’s got less noise casually and just try to communicate that “Imma get another drink, would you care to join me?” It’s okay to lead her the wrong way “by accident “ and blame it on thinking it was another way. Be outcome independent and if she says no, thank her kindly, and move on to the next one.

I've had a very similar situation back in 2020, except I led the handshake, but after I did and introduced myself, she completely lost interest in me even though right before that she was staring at me across the room. And I kept asking myself "What did I do wrong?"

I know today it's just a matter of chemistry, you either have it or you don't. The reason you have pickup artists telling you to go up to 100 women and then judge your success rate based off of that instead of only one girl is the fact that out of 100 women, most won't be into you. Even if you're tall and good looking, confident and with a good personality, you're not going to match with every girl in your surroundings, some will despise some of your personality traits, even if at first glace they like your look, and there is absolutely nothing you can do about that.

What the pickup artists got right is the numbers game aspect of talking to as many women as possible, what they got wrong is the idea that you can trick women into liking you. The truth is, even if you could make that illusion work for a few hours or for a night of sex, it will not last very long, and eventually she will lose interest.

What you need to do is talk to as many women as possible, find one that you really connect with, and then it will be effortless to date her, have sex with her or enter a romantic relationship with her. I've met women with and without cold approach who were exactly like that with me but I've also met women who were not interested in me at all. It's all just a numbers game but at the end of that numbers game is a girl who will appreciate you for who you are.
