I suggest to exchange numbers after a hangout is agreed upon and I know she's interested.

Social media ain't an option for me because I haven't used it since Myspace. I find having no socials is highly effective at filtering out women that are just faking interest to pad their follower count. If they think it's weird I have no IG, I won't waste my time ...they certainly don't care if Chad doesn't.

It doesn’t really make a difference and most women don’t really care about what your instagram looks like unless you only follow ig models and have extremely low social interaction (unless the ratio is relatively even on both sides and clearly you don’t use it).

I've never had social media and only taken numbers. Hundreds of them at that. At the beginning if a girl asked for socials I'd walk away and say that's for kids or I don't have none of that fake stuff have a good day. And leave. Towards the end I was pushy for numbers about half the time.

Looking back. Social vs numbers is night and day. The amount of flakes on socials is 10x more than a number. And numbers hardly mean much. Any guy can get socials. Even if they're not approaching. How do you even fail getting something so immaterial and insignificant. It really is. Mind boggling how guys are actively approaching and thinking taking socials is acceptable

Number, always. I may add her to Facebook later for congruency checks on both ends. I'm 34 and generally only date late 20s onward, with my current new girlfriend being 31, so Instagram is something I don't care about or ask for. I'll leave that to the Tik Tok generation folks.

ASK FOR THE DATE! Then ask for the number ! Without a confirmed date you're wasting your time around 70% flake rate....

Even with a confirmed date, you'll still get a 25% flake rate. (some of that is timing like shes leaving town, or you have work or whatever and you forget to follow up)

However, about 10% of those can be rescheduled for a different day. anyways asking for a date is the most powerful move you can make to change your chances of finding a girlfriend or fuck buddy

Play to your strengths, if your socials are weak it doesn’t help anyway.

The point of getting the number is to have direct access to a date. Socials risk having you be a blur in a sea of hundreds of other dudes in her network.

Social media is always the better option. It puts a face to the name, and it’s GOLDEN for your game if your social media page demonstrates value through exciting stories and well-taken pictures.

Numbers force a girl to try to remember what you looked like after one interaction with you. Even if your game is absolutely solid, that’ll give you a higher baseline ghost-rate.

I used to think number was better but nowadays I think instagram is best. If you exchange numbers half the time you text them they don’t remember you, or can’t put your face to the number, or whatever.

Instagram allows you to build your social circle more naturally and opens more opportunities, while still allowing you to message them directly. And if things don’t work out it’s not just a complete dead end, you may still be able to be friendly with them and who knows what happens down the line then. It keeps that connection open. I’ve found a lot of girls get turned off when you’re direct about asking them out or making your intentions clear tbh, they love mystery and teasing and anticipation. You’re more likely to get ghosted if you say “hey can I take you out some time?” than if you let things progress more naturally.

I’ve found girls are much more likely to respond to a DM than a text from a random number, unless they’re just really into you to start. They’re also more willing to give out their IG than their number because it means they get another follower.
