Do things change when you turn 21?

It's new opportunities and, depending on your personalities, a complete game changer. I like staying quiet and if I go out I like it to be quiet and no crowded so I can have conversations. Not so I can grind into people and sweat and not hear anyone. If you're here and trying to take a girl home, it's new and allows you to find people with less inhibitions who are out for the same thing as you. In terms of how different, it's not that much. You've already had a drink and danced before and all that during highschool and college. It's just a culmination. And it dies out fast. A few months in and you'll no longer be at the bar every weekend. It'll show up once in a while to hang out with buds and look at girls. Unless you go out alone to meet new people, and more importantly: partners. Then it's a big help.

-go overseas for my gap year

-work at a holiday destination at home

-go overseas a second time

-start university

-next year uni

-start working at a bar

-next year uni

-finish university

-get a 'real' job"

Now the story I've been telling myself is "things will be different when I move out of home". They won't though. They only times I've met girls outside of my immediate social circle is through deliberate effort. I know it's not the same for everybody, but I'd be wary of telling stories about how the future is going to be. It's a trap. Maybe more for me than it will be for you, but it's a mental habit to be wary of. Deal with things now, and deal with the future as it comes.

lol i mean yes. You get access to different activities you didnt before. But its not that much of a game changer. The bar scenes get old and its difficult to pick up girls in bars unless youre a vet. but we all paid our dues, youll be 21 soon enough. Unless of course you dont survive. But good luck

Yes and no, the only thing that changes is the places you have access to and to a small extent there is a feeling by women 21 and over of "He can't legally drink... He's too young." Mostly though it's all the same until the 25-30 stretch, I only give the range because depending on personality and where you hang out the actual age at which you notice a change varies.
