Yes, women like to be touched, but not in an aggressive, "letting me touch you means we're gonna fuck, right?" kind of way.

A sincere hug from someone I know is fine (I'm not a big hugger, but that's just me). An "accidental" brush is fine... the lingering "hand on the back" is only ok if I have an established, at least somewhat affectionate rapport with the person. A semi-protective touch can be welcome for some women. You have to know the type, I think.

You can't just walk up on the street to a random woman and start touching her, of course, there has to be an undertone of some sort, either caring or sympathy or something other than "I'm trying to fuck you". Or make it so incidental it's not noteworthy.

Contrary to popular belief, a woman smiling does not mean she's open to being touched or even likes you. It could mean she wants to claw your eyeballs out. Many women are conditioned to not make other people unhappy by being honest about negative feelings, which leads to much passive aggressive behavior. Look at her body language to tell if she's really open to you. Does she open her arms? Does she gance at you when she thinks you aren't looking? Does she point her body toward you? Or does she turn away from you and look at the other people in the group, effectively shutting you out? That kind of thing.

Sorry if I'm butting into the men's locker room, I was just kinda wandering around this place and saw this post. I wouldn't want to have to date women, we're way too hard to read signals from. Men are much more straightforward.

A girl is not going to mind you touching her on a date, if she has a problem with it, date is over don't waste your time.

/R/AskWomen is a shaming man group, so is TV, mainstream media and so on. These are design to keep you in a box to be used for their selfless purpose(Listening to their problems, helping them move ect).

Yes. But only when they aren't really thinking about it. Touch is an important part of human communication and closeness even though socially it can be a bit of a taboo. The trick is to make it a natural part of how you interract with people. When it feels natural it makes your interractions feel more meaningful, more memorable and ultimately makes you a part of her world even if just for the moment.

I'm probably just summarising what others have said, but here goes.

First of all, internet women have internet opinions. These are a subset of a subset of some generally odd individuals. Out of the next 100 hot girls you see, how many do you think are regular posters on reddit, let alone a sub like that? It's probably about 1 of them at best, normal people do normal things, not post in highly specific subs on a cat forum.

Still, they have every right to be creeped out by the ways some guys touched them. If you're a beginner or she's not attracted it will be awkward as you can't read the signs or know for sure what's appropriate, it's like trying to hop on a bike when you've never ridden one. You just cannot master it on the first try, though you can fumble your way through.

But the answer is yes, most women unless they have some deep seated issues or abuse in their past aren't going to mind kino. It's a communication tool that I don't fully understand, but women do. It's kind of a game in a way, you test the waters, push a bit too far, pull back, show you respect her, then go a bit further. Or you detect a limit that you'd better not go past.

Important: Actually trying and risking rejection is attractive, compared to awkwardly being a robot that doesn't attempt to touch her. I've gone from a girl pulling my hand off her boob and almost laughing at me 'no way, not tonight', to fucking her within an hour of that because I managed to respect but gently keep push the boundaries she was showing me.

On the opposite end of the spectrum; Another time, I was sitting with a girl on a park bench and whenever my arm even brushed hers she would ever so subtly move away a bit, so I knew I had to just leave it there.

You should gradually build up touching as you go, and back off if it's obvious she doesn't like it.

You have to touch a women in order to fuck her... Sex is a contact sport.

If a women doesn't like you putting your hand on her shoulder, she's unlikely to ever fuck you. This means you can't ever really blow your chances by touching a girl this way.
