Depends on the context. Sometimes you excuse yourself and go talk to the girl one on one, sometimes you make comments on the situation aloud to get their attention

There’s really no reason not to. Especially since most approaches are about a minute and then you just go back to your friend group. If I’m with a group they even usually like kinda nudge me into deciding to approach.
