Do you ever get the impression this website for the most part is, for lack of a better word "beta?" How do you make your reddit experience more confidence-boosting?

nobody can help you. it is up to you to strengthen your mental fortitude. at the same time, nobody can influence you unless you accept their influence.

I am on reddit an unhealthy amount and I see the weak men complaining and it doesn't negatively affect me. if anything, it positive affects me because I know that I am better than that. I know that I am not trapped in weak thinking.

Reddit is full of insecure haters. That's sort of the nature of conversation on the internet in general. There is an inherent social awkwardness in speaking to anonymous people through a screen instead of your human friends. People are externalizing their self-hate on to other users when they attack people.

The flip side of that is that there is so much more shit to talk about, literally anything, take the good stuff. but you have to apply that to the real world.

Never talk about "internet seduction" to people who aren't involved. Say "you're buddy said x" instead of "this internet site said x".

I tend to browse by my interests and look as a reddit as a tool which disseminates knowledge instead. I can get multiple broad perspectives by simply reading comments then come to my own conclusions. When you look at it in that sense, I find that the experience is much more rewarding.

For example, I love fashion so I subscribe to /r/malefashionadvice, /r/femalefashionadvice. I also am entrepreneurial minded so I'll sub to /r/business, etc. Use it to further your current hobbies and interests rather than a time sink.

I don't know if that's exactly in line with what you're seeking but that's my two cents about how to use reddit effectively.

Also reddit of course will be full of dorks. Thats why they are on the internet.

I think that not caring about getting laid is huge. Obviously its a little bit of a paradox because most guys want to get laid, but don't want to come off as desperate. One of the most common pieces of advice is to stop sitting at your computer and go out and get laid, however even the act of going out carries the nuance of being desperate, since you're going out solely to get laid. So your interactions aren't going to be completely outcome independent.

I think this gets reinforced by the fact that many of us were bullied in school by the guys that got the hot girls, the girls that said "lets just be friends" and now we want to get back at them by scoring all the hot girls and making them jealous. I don't think this is a healthy way to live your life and builds upon all the passive agressive stuff you see here.

I think seduction is hugely beneficial if used the right way. Just like a gun can be a valuable asset, it can also be a dangerous weapon. The people in this subreddit can form the ideas behind seduction into something that can be sleazy and creepy, or something that can better your life. I just don't think its healthy to base your entire life around this stuff, because it becomes your identity. As much as I respect Tyler from RSD and the Simple Pickup Guys, their entire identity seems to revolve around picking up girls. Cajun from Love Systems is an instructor, but also has his own cool hobbies like designing fashion pieces from Game of Thrones. I'd much rather associate with the latter, because he lives his own life and women are supplemental to that lifestyle.

In summary, my personal belief is: live your life. Do the things that make you happy because you want to, not because you're picking up girls. Go out to the club or play volleyball or go salsa dancing because you are having fun, and if there's a hot girl there, then chat her up. But focus on your happiness first.

seddit is what you make it. If you think it's beta, you make it that way. There is an old buddhist principle of "the oneness of self and environment." Our experience of the world is largely a product of our own consciousness. When we are angry, we draw angry shit right out of thin air, it comes at us from every angle. And when we are more enlightened, better things come to us naturally.

So reddit generally is like every other pool of human experience. It is full of negative energy and what I call "crossing energy fields" that are coming from someplace that has nothing to do with you, and is going some other place that has nothing to do with you. Your goal is to avoid engaging with those negative and crossing energies, they will carry you off your path. Engage in positive energies that are going the same direction you are.

In other words, take the good, ignore the bad. When you start getting hooked into the bad shit, it's because you choose to and you can choose to do otherwise.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease. The people who are on hear the most subsequently post the most generally and are on here a lot because they don't have anything better to do. Not all people mind you but id say it applies to a lot of them.

Focus more on the field reports. Read them. Upvote them.

I posted about my first approach and it got downvoted and only one comment. I have since made many more approaches. I don't see the point in posting about them if all guys wonna do here is rephrase good advice they read somewhere else a long time ago and has since resurfaced in their minds in some mangled form.

The main purpose of this subreddit should be camaraderie.

It's self-hate/insecurities that people are trying to mask with humor and "meta-ness". Plenty of people enjoy reddit without subscribing to the awkward philosophy.

There's also a bit of a persecution complex, which is why reddit loves friend zone stories, cheating girlfriends, and scumbag Steve memes.

It is what you make it. Let those people have their insecurities, enjoy your confidence. But a bit of advice, when talking about seduction with people not indoctrinated to the community, try calling it confidence, or social skills or something. Just sounds less creepy to the common folk.
