Here's what you need to understand about personalities: they aren't static. Their fluid. No one is alpha all the time. No one is beta all the time. Its situational. As long as you can recognize the situation, you'll be fine.

it never becomes second nature, but you evolve to new levels. what you struggled with last year will be natural to you now. your confidence will be natural, but you will always be working on the next step

Okay, one of my BIG realizations on this journey is that you discover that confidence comes not from being alpha/dominant. Confidence comes from being comfortable with yourself. You become less apologetic and less bothered by little things like "shit tests". There are no "bitchy" women either. There are just women that have gone through a ton of boys trying to pick them up, when they just want a man who is sure of what's going on and to lead them. They're tired of wearing the pants in their every day lives.

It's because when you're with your friends you're not really interested in what they're doing so you're letting them lead until something interesting comes along.

There might come a time though when you don't want them to lead you anywhere and you go off on your own.
