You should feel great. You had the guts to do what fewer and fewer men do these days, as approaching becomes less and less common. Regardless of the result, you beat your internal obstacles and talked to a girl. You couldn't possibly know whether she was available. No reason to feel like shit if you stop comparing yourself to others. Only compare yourself to yourself and where you were before. If this was your first approach, clearly you are doing better today than yesterday. This is just your first step, practice makes things better and will make you less nervous.

Congrats man. Now you just have to keep doing it. Don't obsess over it, but when you're out and about, and you see a hot chick, go and say hi. Eventually you're not going to care and it will become the new way for you to meet chicks (way better than the dating app garbage).
