1: Sometimes easier to meet at the place you're going. Less expectations that way. Especially if the date goes bad, you're not stuck having to spend the time to drive him/her back to her place.

Re #2: Be a man, open the door for your date. I always do it on building doors, if there's two doors, I'll open the first one, she walks through and she'll open the second. It's just natural. For the car door, I still do it on occasion for my wife, and it gets her all giddy. It's easy to forget that on a car door that has keyless entry. Still, unlock the door from afar, and open her door. Chivalry is NOT dead.

Discuss the matter with your date: "Should I call you when I'm at your house, or come up/in to meet you". If she says whatever, go to the door. Shows you're confident.

3 - Go with the flow :) If you're not from her area, and if the night has gone well, suggest a coffee shop where you can sit and chat some more.

1.) Meet them at a local place (ideally near your place)

2.) This is a questions that sounds like it's from the 1950's lol

3.) Do 1.) a round of drinks, 2.) cook dinner at your place, 3.) sex. That's pretty much been the order of events of all my dates for the past 2 or 3 years.

Sometimes we don't make it past the drinks, or dinner, but that's ALWAYS my game plan. I am willing to adjust accordingly, but that's always how I approach "the first date". Best, Rob Judge

If you meet at one of your places, you aren't going to end the date in some random location but instead at one of your homes. IMO it's also less likely that way for one of you to flake.
