TL;DR: Loved a girl in high school, she loved me back, but I was too stupid to realize it and too scared to go for it and kiss her.

WHY? Probably the same reasons most people don't go for it. You think you're not good enough... that she's too good for you. But you know what? You are good enough!

You are AWESOME. You're funny, smart, handsome, etc. And her? She's just a fucking person. A person with the same issues and her own insecurities. Because she's pretty or popular doesn't mean that she's better than you or that she thinks she is. She's just a person and she'd like to be treated that way. Take her off that fucking pedestal. There's a good chance that she's just like you if you'd get to know her.
