Hi, everyone! I'm a long time lurker of this subreddit and this is my first post on here, so it might be kinda redundant or shitty, but oh well.

So I was with some of my friends and we were just chilling in this arcade/lounge, relaxing, having a good time. These this small group of fairly attractive ladies walks in and I was just talking about how I don't talk to strangers, so my friends tell me that I should go and talk to them.

Fair enough, it could be good for me I thought. I'm not too bad looking, some people have told me that I'm good looking enough, so no big deal I though. I went over, made some small talk and all that stuff, then they ask us if we wanna come sit down with them. Score.

We go to sit down with them and we're kinda getting to know each other and for some reason they're being very short with us and just looking at their phones and texting the whole time, so we ended up leaving after about 5 failed conversation topics.

Now I'm not mad or anything, I'm glad I did it, but I just don't understand why someone would invite someone over to hang out with them then not talk to them at all. Any tips?
