I was introduced to a really cute girl by a friend. She is super sexy and real cute. She's 4 years younger than I am and still in college. I've only spent time with her twice. The first time, I only met her and talked to her a little but I steered clear since this other guy in the group I was with was trying to get with her. She didn't like him and he couldn't seal the deal. She actually told my friend that she thought I was hot afterwards, even though I didn't even talk to her that much.

Fast forward to the following weekend. This time, my friend, this cute girl and I all went out to the clubs. Throughout the night, I wasn't really sure what the situation was and I had a hard time reading her. She told me about a guy she was fucking, the drama that it caused within her friend group, and some other random stuff. I tried to pull some moves and tease/flirt with her in order to get her laughing and comfortable around me, but it wasn't completely effective. She even mentioned stuff like "I feel awkward because our mutual friend is here" implying that hooking up with me wasn't an option. However, she kept kind of flirting back but maybe that was just to illicit attention from me. Idk, it was a confusing situation.

The night ended and the next day she told my friend that she thought I was a "nice" guy but that I am out of her age range. Are you serious? That's the first time I've ever heard a girl say "he's too old for me" when it's 4 years apart. Usually it's easier for guys when we're older. I don't even remember being nice to her which is also the funniest part. I was trying to tease, flirt and make conversation but I guess it didn't work.

I usually don't get hung up over situations like this but this girl was so gorgeous and I've been pretty disappointed because it started out in my favor but I screwed it up somehow. I just don't know how I screwed it up. What do you guys think?
