1. About a week ago I was walking around campus waiting for my class to start when I noticed a cute girl sitting on the grass. As I walked by her I noticed her looking at me without breaking eye contact. I stopped and asked if she was in one of the music classes(we were right next to all the music classes). She said: "no, why?" and I said I was just wondering and asked her what she was up to. After exchanging a few words she showed IOI so I sat next to her and we talked until she had class. She kept stalling when she was leaving for class so I offered to walk her and got her number. She mentioned to me it was funny that I stopped to talk to her. Apparently no one from school ever does and she invited me to come by her spot next week. The only problem is that she's a smoker which is a huge turn-off. I'm thinking of still hanging out with her but asking her not to smoke since I have asthma.

  2. Last week as I was getting out of class I saw a girl I'd seen in music theory tutoring before so I went over to talk to her. We exchanged names and talked about our classes for a bit. We both had to take the same bus so instead of asking if I could sit next to her(as i read on a few of the posts here), I just went ahead and did it. She seemed to be interested and kept asking questions. The conversation went pretty well for about 20 mins until there was a small pause and she put on ear earphones. A few minutes later we had to give up our seats and went to the back. Suddenly we were making small talk again until her stop. At first I thought she was bored but I'm thinking she was just a bit shy. Next time I see her I'll just have to build more comfort and make her talk about herself more.

  3. Set 1. As I was getting to class today, I noticed a girl from class sitting in the grass. Usually she's talking to her friend non stop and they always seem so engaged in conversation that I don't want to bother them. This time her friend wasn't there so I walked up to her and said "hey" and asked if we had homework. It was a simple opener but seemed to work so I sat next to her and we talked until the teacher got there and opened the door. As I walked in I was about to sit in my usual spot but something told me to sit with her so I did. The teacher was being laid back today so we got to talk as we did our work. We had to do some test corrections so this girl and I were talking and helping each other with our work. I made sure to look relaxed, smile, and be funny. Seemed to work well because she'd smile too and whenever she'd help me she'd get closer than she really needed to which was pretty awesome. Class ended and I saw the girl who usually walks with me after class hurry out the door. We always walk together but I'm guessing my sudden seat change made her mad. I felt like an ass but I didn't think she'd care after the way she'd friendzoned me and seemed to use me (ditched me whenever she saw a friend and only hung out when she had no one else to hang out with). Some guy started talking to the girl I'd just met and I was in a hurry to meet up with a friend so I didn't get to say bye. I'm hoping to continue talking to this girl tomorrow and get her number.

Set 2. After class I met up with a friend to wait for our other friend to carpool. Our friend got there and we were about to leave when he sees a girl he knew(way too tomboyish but a really cool chick). She was sitting with a guy friend and a really hot/cute chick friend(HB8). As my friend and the girl talked I introduced myself to the dude and the HB8 and chatted with her for a while. Their group invited us to an electro event so I used that as an excuse to exchange numbers with HB8. I gave her my number and and a hug and asked her to call it on the spot so I could get hers. Just then two dudes who were friends with her came to talk to her so I went to my friends who were already waiting for me. I guess it doesn't count as a close unless she actually calls back.

tl;dr: 12. #close/possible day 2 13. conversation going well suddenly stops 14. set 1. nice conversation. set 2. ???
