A little low on my confidence, as I had a really shitty date Thursday night, and got stood up by a girl Friday. So I decided to go on this pubcrawl.

I'm a 23/m and i'm completely sober throughout this whole night. Firstly, for those who don't know, a pubcrawl is a group of people (up to 100) go to 4 different clubs within a 5-6 hour span.

Club #1
I arrive at club #1 with all my friends, a little annoyed at the time because I'm DD'ing to the club and I had to fit 7 people into my 5 people car (don't ask me how this happened). Any ways, I knew that I couldn't let this get to me because I had the whole night ahead of me. I walk in. The club is LOUD, like really LOUD, almost impossible to have a conversation. I hit up the dance floor right away just to get a vibe, I spot a girl who is wearing a red scarf on her arm. I make a joke saying that she is from the bloods with solid eye contact and a little kino as I touch her arm. She can't understand me, it's too loud and I can't project my voice that loud (I have a really low voice). I just give her a smile and a high five and walk away.

I get some water, and see a 3 set and walk up to them instantly. I make some small talk about how sweet a pubcrawl is and how rowdy tonight is going to be. The one girl disappears off her phone, and I focus on one girl saying a cheesy line "I think you're beautiful, but you'd look better as a blonde". At this point her friend decided to peace out, and it was just us. She seemed really happy and thanked me a bunch, but I lost momentum and had nothing to say. I said my goodbyes and I'd see her later tonight (which I didn't).

I approached a 6 set (5 blondes and a brown chick) and that was difficult. Since I couldn't project my voice loud enough, I only got attention to a couple of them, and I felt way too over my head managing all these people. I introduced myself to some of them, and just had a conversation about bad dance moves to use. I wasn't sure how this went, I was way too into my head to even hold my composure. After this, I went to the dance floor to spend the rest of my time at club #1

Club #2

I felt this club slowed down my momentum. I opened a handful of sets at club 1, but at this point the group of friends I was with had a meltdown. My friend and his gf were having a fight, and I just had to get his girlfriend to calm down and try to talk it out. Eventually they got there shit sorted out after awhile, but I lost the people I was with. I ended up stuck with a mutual friend who I barely know. She's a really attractive brunette and gets a lot of attention when she goes out, but I never found her personality that attractive and she was hammered. I couldn't just ditch her because she was part of our crew, so I took her to the dance floor. She was really into it, and I definitely could have escalated to a makeout or even more, but I was just so unattracted to her because she was so wasted. I end up leaving club #2 with no open sets.

Club #3

Me and my buddy (who happens to have a gf) decided to wing with me. I am a little hesitant because he is in a perfect state of "not giving a fuck" so it's a little hard to keep up with him. We open up this two set and it was really beautifully done. We both had them on hook and definitely held a solid conversation. I felt we had a connection as we both expressed a passion for travelling and different cultures. We transitioned them to the dance floor, but they made some excuse in how they needed to find a friend. I thought I could get my girls number, so I handed her my phone and told her to put her contact info in, which ended up with her saying "no, I don't think so". I was kind of surprised of this response since she seemed really into the conversation we had. I tried talking to a couple girls, photo bombing a couple photos, but nothing really substantial happened after that.

Club 4

I think I had about 4-5 sets where I just came up with something simple like "I think you're beautiful, your eyes are amazing, etcc" and clearly not much success. I got positive responses, but I couldn't transition it into anything. I always would ask for a dance right after, but it never happened. At this point, I was exhausted of the night and wanted to head home. So I did.

Overall thoughts

Pros: I feel like my AA is alot better. I have strong eye contact, and I am always smiling. I kept up the momentum, never got down on my self, and had an amazing time.

Cons: I didn't kino enough (some not at all) and I didn't stay committed to a lot of the sets, I kinda got scared of awkward silences and made my exit. I didn't try to get past small talk, and really build a connection with any girls.
